Frequently Asked Questions

Q) How do I know that my payment is secure?

A) We use a 3rd Party Payment Gateway called PayFast. They have the latest in secure payment technologies, and allow for payment by Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) or Credit Card, through all major South African banks. You can read more about their security measures here

Q) How long does it take for delivery?

A) Delivery will normally be made within 2 to 3 working days.

Q) Do you have all the painting tools that you require?

A) Yes, when you order your samples or paint there is a banner before you go to checkout, which will give you list of all the accessories that we supply.

Q) Do I need to prime a wall before I paint?

A) If the surface has been previously painted it does not need to be primed. If however it is a new wall or has rhinolite on it, it needs to be primed in order for the paint to adhere to the surface.

Q) What is the difference in all the paints that you supply?

A) Premium sheen is a top of the range acrylic paint with a high sheen level which makes it very washable - it is recommended for interior and exterior surfaces. It is not recommended on surfaces that are poorly finished i.e. surfaces that have a lot of imperfections. On surfaces of poor quality we recommend a mid sheen or matt finish.

Premium Matt is a top of the range acrylic paint with a matt finish. This paint can be used internally or externally.

Premium Mid Sheen is a top quality paint with a mid sheen level. It can be used internally or externally Versatex - is a textured paint used externally that is exceptionally good for bridging hairline cracks and hiding surface imperfections.

RippleCoat Gloss - An Acrylic based coating which is rolled onto to the wall with a textured roller to give it a ripple texture with a high gloss finish

RippleCoat Matt is an acrylic based coating which is rolled onto to the wall with a textured roller to give it a stippled look. This product is specialized and very protective for all surfaces. It should be used externally.

Water Based enamel - A "greener solution" than using the conventional solvent based enamels. However a universal undercoat is essential prior to recoating these surfaces

Water Based Primer - A greener solution than using the conventional solvent based primer. This product is suitable for newly plastered walls only.

Universal undercoat. Used for changing surfaces between water based and oil based mediums.

Q) Can I touch up a wall once it has been painted?

A) As with all paint products - when you touch up it should be done from a corner to a corner from a joint to a joint, otherwise the patch will always be seen
